Dynamics and Politics of War and Peace

Weekendseminar on "Dynamics and Politics of War and Peace"

*event will be held in English

**childcare will be offered

Nowadays, the number of interstate wars – wars between states or alliances of states – is decreasing. In return, the number of domestic conflicts between hostile social, political, religious or ethnic groups is increasing. The seminar deals with the causes and backgrounds of conflicts and peace processes. Why do wars emerge? How can parties of a violent dispute build trust, learn to live cooperatively, and create a stable peace? Along different case studies, the topic of trust and social reconciliation will be discussed.
